Why it exists
Shared living runs on a WhatsApp group, a Splitwise account, a paper chore rota and somebody’s notes app. Casa brings tasks, groceries, expenses and who is in for dinner together.
Most household apps are built for families. Casa is for student houses, shared flats and couples in their twenties, which changes the tone, the onboarding and what gets built first.
Where it stands
Casa has been on the App Store since 24 June. The updates since then were mostly about things that went wrong in real use, like recurring tasks that vanished on their own day and dates that slipped by one.
Now I am building Casa Plus, a paid tier. The Android version is still to come.
